The Hunger Project Fundraising Run

Hi everyone,

I thought I’d shake the old marathon shoes and get involved in raising some money for a charity that sits close to my heart. 

On Sunday, 1st May I will be taking part in the 21km Marathon run in Mornington to help raise funds for The Hunger Project Australia. 

The Hunger Projects goal is to end world hunger by educating and empowering men and women across rural areas in Africa, India, Bangladesh and Latin America. Why The Hunger Project? Their approach is different.  They don’t just see a billion mouths to feed, but they see a billion human beings who are enterprising and resilient. They believe that people who live in hunger are not the problem - they are the solution. 
The work, therefore, is invested in unlocking their capacity, creativity and leadership so they can end their own hunger. 

The date of this Marathon is particularly important to me because it is also the last day of Ramadan. I’ll be committed to both fasting on this day and completing the marathon both of which serve a purpose for the greater good. 

Your donation - no matter how small, will take part in making a difference and will go a long way in finally putting an end to world hunger for good.
