So exciting!   Today's the day, we took the scissors to my hair. A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me through this journey including the amazing staff at Irfan Hair Design for cut!

By donating we’re giving these people the opportunity the take charge and overcome poverty and hunger. This is one more step to end world hunger. I truly believe that The Hunger Project are doing an amazing job for these communities by giving them the power and support to change and improve their lives.

Orphanages in Uganda

In Uganda, the group I was travelling with visited many orphanages and schools where we assisted in painting the buildings, food preparation, teaching and playing with the children. 

The Hunger Project helps communities in setting up projects including education, health, financial stability and food for those in need. Let's give the communities the power to make a change!

Njeru, Uganda

One of my favourite countries in the world is Uganda. Whilst there, I had the opportunity to spend time with local communities, schools and orphanages. It dawned on me how much people with nothing are the happiest, yet they need our help. The people in each community look out for eachother, they work together to build, feed and care. 

In one community, I met a group of women who make products like jewellery and bags to sell to feed their villages as well as support women from domestic violence and mislpacement.

Instead of just donating and not knowing what you money goes towards, the Hunger Project gives these people the skills and avenues support themselves.

To raise funds for The Hunger Project Australia, I'm cutting my hair on the 24th February. This group empowers people and communities to overcome poverty and hunger. You can find more information on the amazing work they've done on their website https://thp.org.au
