Empower Women in Rajasthan, India.

In a country where every fifth person lives below the poverty line and many people are denied access to even the most basic services like clean water and toilets, women and girls are rising up to lead the transformation of their villages.

Through The Hunger Project’s unique leadership training program, women elected to their local council are empowered to become effective, respected leaders, bringing water, sanitation and more to their people. Similarly, adolescent girls are empowered to know their right to education and to decide when and whom they should marry.

We invite you to play a role in changing the lives of thousands of women and girls in the state of Rajasthan that will have a far-reaching, intergenerational impact. In total, we are seeking $324,000 in 2020 to 1) train 1,050 women in the first year of their 5 year tenure, and 2) educate 1,200 adolescent girls to stay in school and avoid child marriage.
