The Hunger Project Youth Board - Ending Hunger through sustainable solutions
Hi everyone, I'm Alena and I'm a member of The Hunger Project Australia Youth Board.
When I was in university, I wrote my economic thesis on women's health in rural Malawi, and this sparked a passion for me to be involved in health outcomes in disadvantaged communities. Ultimately, this lead me to The Hunger Project, an organisation which is focused on sustainable, grass-roots, women-focused, locally driven solutions to end hunger.
As part of my position on the Youth Board, I'm seeking to raise money for The Hunger Project and its fantastic programs. I’ll also be running a Half Marathon in July for the cause (I'm not quite insane enough to run a full, although my partner Tim will so please also donate for his efforts)!!
