#gamchanger – Uganda 2019
Thanks to Decjuba, I have been given the opportunity to be a part of The Hunger Project #gamechanger Leadership Immersion program, travelling to Uganda in May of this year.
This #amazing charity educates, trains and empowers people – in particular women across countries such as Africa, India, Bangladesh and Latin America to lift themselves out of poverty and hunger. Their mission is to end poverty by 2030.
FACT: 821 MILLION people live in hunger and 60% of whom are women.
Reading these stats for the first time sent chills up my spine. So when the opportunity came for the chance to apply for this program, I knew this was my time to help make a difference and commit to raising $5,000 for The Hunger Project.
So to my family, friends, colleges, friends of friends and anyone whom I may cross paths with I am asking you to invest as little or as much as you’d like to help me reach my goal.
$25 – provides workbooks and chalk to one of THP’s nursery schools in Africa.
$50 – Provides anti – malarial bed nets to five families, which in turn reduces the risk of children under 5 years of age from severe illness, disease and death
$100 – Is the size of the first micro-finance loan for a budding female entrepreneur. This is enough to purchase a pig to farm or purchase equipment to start small businesses in sewing or hairdressing

I ask you to share this link with as many people as you can to help me on my #gamechanger journey.
