"If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together". Lilla Watson.
I can vividly remember seeing ads for the famine in Ethiopia as a child, watching children my age dying of starvation on TV. Even as a child, I knew this was not somebody else' problem. It was everybody's problem. Fast forward a few decades and I still feel a pull to Africa. To help. To be helped. Because there's nothing about this kind of travel that doesn't change you at the core.
I made a commitment a few years back to live as consciously as possible. To live a life that happens for me, not to me. And I know that to really commit to this means consciously deciding where my resources go. I hope you'll join me.
