In May 2020 I will be embarking on a once in a lifetime journey,something that is a lifelong goal to help others, change mindsets and make a difference in this world. I will be going on the Decjuba Game Changer Journey, travelling to Uganda, alongside a small group of selected Decjuba Team Leaders, our Leader Tania Austin and The Hunger Project Organisation.As a part of my journey I am committed to raising $5,000 for the Hunger Project.
The Hunger Project is focused on educating, training, changing mindsets and empowering community members, predominantly women, living in extreme conditions of poverty and malnutrition to empower themselves towards becoming self reliant.The Hunger Project is driven towards the goal of ending chronic and perisistent world hunger by 2030. They forsee they will achieve this by changing the mindsets of women and men, so they can transform into leaders to end their own hunger. They will do this by empowering people with skills, knowlegde and resources they need to break the poverty cycle themselves.
I will definitely be stepping outside of my comfort zone during this journey, but I am really looking forward to it and extremely grateful for the opportunity. I am passionate and 100% committed to being part of making a positive change to these communities, especially helping to empower women to help themselves.
