Stay In, Reach Out with a Virtual Trivia Night
While you stay in to protect yourself and your family you can still reach out to keep 16.5 million people safe.
How? By hosting a virtual trivia night in partnership with The Hunger Project Youth Board while investing in 500,000 of The Hunger Project’s highly trained community leaders on the ‘village frontlines’ around the world to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Now is your opportunity to stay in and play some trivia while reaching out to our global community on the frontlines. All you have to do is donate $30 or more to receive an all in one virtual trivia night pack, recruit some players and donate what you would usually spend on drinks with your mates at the pub. What are you waiting for?
How to Host a Virtual Trivia Night with The Hunger Project
Make a donation of $30 or more to The Hunger Project on this page
Receive an email with everything you need to host a trivia night - including questions, answers and clues. If you don't receive an email within 1 business day of making a donation please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Select a date to host your virtual trivia night
Download your favourite video conferencing system (Google Hangouts or Zoom is suitable) onto a computer and schedule your event
Recruit players to join in the fun - we recommend a minimum of 8 people
Make sure you, as the host, use a computer (i.e. not a mobile device) and have the trivia deck ready to go on the night. You will need to share your screen so everyone can see.
Jump on the video link 5 minutes early to set everything up, then you are ready to go
While you are staying in, don't forget to reach out. Instead of grabbing a drink from the bar, invest in The Hunger Project's highly trained community leaders on the ‘village frontlines’ around the world to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Just share this link via the message function in your video conference - https://thp.org.au/stayinreachout/
You, as the host, will have clues that players can request throughout the night. In lieu of paying for a clue, players can make a donation to The Hunger Project's Stay In, Reach Out campaign. Clues can be sent from the host privately to the player via Zoom, WhatsApp or Text.
