Connect with your leadership potential and connect with our community.
The Hunger Project’s global leadership training was created in conjunction with McKinsey and Co. The specific program we are conducting in March 2020 has been facilitated for organisations including CBA, Decjuba and Business Chicks. It has also been run in our program countries.
Two bold, inspiring leaders are facilitating the weekend. Executive coach, speaker, author and recruiter, Christine Khor, and founder and director of Runway Consulting, Helen Scott.
Meet Our Leaders
Christine Khor is the founder and CEO of Chorus Executive, a holistic talent management consultancy, and Peeplcoach, a coaching led career and leadership development platform recognised as a Top 50 Start-Up by APAC Business Magazine and 2021 B&T Magazine Women Leading Tech Finalist. As well as being a Director for The Hunger Project’s National Board, Christine is an Advisory Council member for the Future Minds/Future Skills Program chaired by David Gonski. She has brought her energy, experience and passion to Telstra, Tabcorp, CUB, AMP, Kathmandu, Business Chicks and executives.
Helen Scott is the Founder and Director of Runway Consulting based in Melbourne. Runway is a boutique consulting business, focused on working with senior leadership teams and executive level leaders. Helen established Runway Consulting after 20+ years with Hay Group Management consultants, where she was a Director and Partner in the local and global businesses. During her time at Hay Group, Helen participated in ground-breaking global research into the dynamics of Executive Teams and the conditions required for them to be effective. She continues to apply aspects of that research in her work with teams today. She helps her client organisations work more effectively by understanding their business challenges and developing and implementing solutions to deliver improved performance from leaders and employees. Currently, she is a Non-Executive Director for the Good Samaritan Inn and an active investor in The Hunger Project. (Pictured in India, bottom photo far left)
Tania Austin - CEO of Decjuba
The THP team have been the driving force behind the leadership programs and have delivered incredibly well thought out and considered workshops along with immersion trips where my team see their own potential in a different light and understand how they can become active leaders in their own way. The Hunger Project’s corporate leadership initiatives have been monumental in shifting mindsets and unlocking amazing self-belief in my team. As a business we have grown exponentially through this involvement with The Hunger Project.
Jacinta McDonell - Founder Human Kind Project and Co-founder Anytime Fitness Australia
I have always loved business, but it wasn’t until I embarked on a leadership immersion program with The Hunger Project to see their work on the ground in Malawi, that I fully came to understand my purpose about being a voice to use business for good. This trip in 2014 really galvanised my desire to stand for something more than profit within business, and also throughout my daily life. When speaking about how Human Kind Project began, I often say that “I didn’t have a choice”, and I do honestly believe that when we feel a purpose which is much bigger than ourselves, it is impossible to ignore.
David Lyon - Executive Manager CBA
I have been fortunate enough to participate in a number of amazing THP leadership programs over the last 8 years which have tangibly enhanced my ability to lead both personally and professionally... I was once interviewing a woman for a role and when she asked what the bank does differently, I talked about the leadership program and The Hunger Project. By the end of that discussion, she said she wanted to come work for us. That just makes the difference. As much as this is us doing the right thing, it also really connects us with business outcomes. And there is no reason they have to be mutually exclusive.
