The Hunger Project's work
Hunger is linked to a nexus of issues. Only by addressing them together can any of them be solved on a sustainable basis. Our programs are based on an innovative, holistic approach – giving women and men living in rural communities the tools and agency to make sustainable progress in hunger and poverty reduction.
This is your opportunity to empower women, men and children to move beyond chronic hunger to a life of self-reliance and dignity. Your commitment to fundraise or personally invest $1,200 to The Hunger Project Australia plays an integral part in pioneering the greatest possibilities for thousands of people. Your impact will ripple for generations.
Progress is made when we work together.
What does $1,200 roughly translate to?
Every little bit goes a long way. The $1,200 you raise could have an enormous impact for people living in hunger. For example, it could enable:
- 960 mothers to be trained in how to prepare and feed their children nutritious, locally available food to avoid malnutrition; or
- 20 budding entrepreneurs to access a microfinance loan and financial literacy training, so they can start small businesses, earn an income and support their families; or
- 12 Women’s Empowerment workshops to be delivered to 720 women and men to foster an environment in which women are empowered to take up decision-making roles to lead the end of hunger for themselves and their communities.
Your supporters can help you reach your goal. Their contributions can create an incredible impact in rural communities all across the globe. For example:
- $20 could enable 16 mothers to be trained in how to prepare and feed their children nutritious, locally available food to avoid malnutrition;
- $60 could enable 1 budding entrepreneur to access a microfinance loan and financial literacy training, so they can start a small business, earn an income and support their family;
- $100 could enable 1 Women’s Empowerment workshop to be delivered to 60 women and men to foster an environment in which women are empowered to take up decision-making roles to lead the end of hunger for themselves and their communities.
This is your opportunity to make a real difference.
